Sessions
Here at SoCal, we host full sessions daily, this is something we take pride in. Currently Management+ are the only staff members allowed to manage sessions, with the approval of the Trey.
- /session-vote
- /session-start
- /session-boost
- /session-full
- /session-shutdown
When initating a session vote, you must factor in the amount of available staff, the current time of day and current activity of the server. Once you intiate a session vote, you must wait up to an hour before finishing the vote. If the vote does not succeed in an hour, you must delete the message. If it does succeed, you can start up the server.
Once you start up the server, you are expected to get at least 2-3 staff members in the server. If the session goes for a bit and stops increasing in players, you can run /session boost to request more players to join the server. If the session goes for an hour with no increase in players, shut down the server. If the server gets full, run /session full. Once the session is marked as full, you are to ensure that there are at least 2-3 staff members in the server at all times.
If during the session, the playercount drops below 30, you can request more players with the /session boost command. In the event that you need to leave the server and no one can get online, you are expected to shutdown the server, make sure you get permission from everyone else in staff chat beforehand. The last thing you want to do is shutdown the server for no reason. After you get permission from a Manager or above to shutdown the server, you must send the server shutdown :m message, then proceed to kick all players.
