Discord Moderator Guide
Utilization Notice
As of January 2026 we now utilise the bot Circle Premium for all Discord moderation actions.
As a moderator, your role is essential in maintaining a safe and positive environment for our community members. This guide is designed to provide you with the necessary information and tools to perform your duties effectively and efficiently.
Firstly, it is crucial to understand the server rules and guidelines. You are responsible for enforcing these rules and ensuring that all members follow them. If a member violates any rule, it is your responsibility to take the appropriate action, which may include issuing a warning, muting, or banning. In addition to enforcing the rules, you should also monitor the server for any inappropriate content or behavior. If you come across any content that violates the server rules or Discord's Terms of Service, you should immediately remove it and take the appropriate action against the offending member. It is also important to be approachable and available to help members with any questions or concerns they may have. You should strive to provide prompt and helpful responses, and be willing to escalate any issues to higher-ranking staff members when necessary.
As a moderator, you have access to various tools that can help you perform your duties effectively. These tools include the ability to mute or kick users, delete messages, and issue warnings. However, it is important to use these tools responsibly and not abuse your power as a moderator. In addition to moderating the server, you should also be an active and positive member of the community. This includes participating in server events, engaging with members, and promoting a friendly and welcoming environment.
Finally, it is important to communicate with other staff members and report any issues or concerns to the appropriate person. This helps ensure that all staff members are working together towards the same goal of maintaining a safe and positive community.
